Courses can be used in various ways for lesson planning and delivery. The primary purpose of a course is to serve as the home base for the teaching group, through which learning materials and tasks can be shared with students in a clear and organized manner. The course length can vary depending on the teaching system and goals—it can cover an entire academic year or just be a short term. The course structure adapts easily to different teaching methods, and its scope can be designed flexibly according to learning objectives.

All students in the teaching group/class are invited to the course. Access to the course is granted through a course code provided by the teacher. The course includes the curriculum objectives as well as all the learning materials and content for the term. Objectives can be set according to the curriculum or based on the teacher’s own plan.

Learning materials are a key part of the course content. They can consist of various tasks and theoretical content, presented to students in multiple forms—such as text, images, or videos. Teachers can adjust the learning materials to suit the needs of the course, and students can access them according to their own schedules. Differentiation of learning is achieved through materials at varying levels.

Student assessment also takes place within the course. With course analytics, teachers can track students’ progress in real-time and visually monitor their performance using assessment matrices for individual learning materials.
