Effortless Sign-In

You can take advantage of multiple single sign-on methods in Alfons

Student-friendly login with school credentials

Single sign-on (SSO) offers significant benefits for using digital environments, especially when the users are young students. Logging in is easy even for younger children.

A lot of time during lessons can be spent just logging into various digital services. Often, this is because students have to remember multiple usernames and passwords. That’s why Alfons uses Microsoft O365, Google SSO, and MPASSid (FI only) single sign-on methods, which are widely used in schools.

With single sign-on, students can use the school-provided credentials to access all the necessary learning environments and materials. This simplifies the learning process as students can focus on learning from the start of the lesson. When the login process is seamless, time is saved during lessons, and the teacher doesn’t have to act as IT support in the classroom, allowing them to focus on delivering lessons and supporting students.

Single sign-on also brings security advantages. Students’ data and identities can be better protected when the login is handled centrally through a secure system.

From the teacher’s perspective, single sign-on significantly frees up resources. With an automated and simplified login process, teachers don’t need to constantly help students log in. This allows them to focus on teaching and supporting students in their learning. This improves teaching efficiency and ensures that lessons can be fully utilized.
